SURGERY
Declaw - Neuter & Spay - Orthopedic - Orchiectomy - Onchyectomy - Soft Tissue/Abdominal & more!
ALL of our presurgical exams, medications, and anesthetic preparation and induction are DIRECTLY attended to by the Doctor and Nurses - not just assistants
ALL of our surgeries include IV catheters and fluids, full monitoring and state of the art anesthesia (Isoflurane or Sevoflurane) allowing for excellent safety and the rapid recovery of our precious patients.
- Declaw -
Our doctors will discuss our pain-free declawing (Onchyectomy) techniques with you!
Pain-free declawing utilizes a local anesthetic plus suturing each toe (rather than tissue glue) for improved post-op declawing comfort so that our Onchyectomy patients walk the next day without discomfort or the need for pain patches or even oral pain meds. We offer both the full disarticulation surgery or the procedure of declawing that leaves the ungual process and flexor tendon in place to avoid flat footedness and arthritis later on.
- Neutering -
Orchiectomy is a simple, quick procedure that reduces or eliminates territorial spraying of urine, fighting, and roaming in male cats. Male cats can come home the same day if neutered at our base hospital or may be neutered on site at your home in our mobile facility. This eliminates the need to stay at the hospital all day.
- Spaying -
A "Spay" operation is a hysterectomy or Ovariohysterectomy or Panhysterectomy surgery involving the removal of the uterus and ovaries making it impossible for a female cat to conceive. Your pet will stay with us during the day and be returned to you mid to late afternoon depending on our surgery schedule
- Orthopedic -
An exciting improvement for ruptured ligaments!
ACL Rupture:
We offer a new anatomically aligned technique for correcting the instability caused by rupture of ligaments and tearing of cartilage inside the knee joint. Our reconstructive knee surgeries are less expensive than TPLO surgeries and less painful and easier of your pet. You can expect your pet to be returning to function and walking on the injured leg again within 1-2 days of surgery. Our fees run from 800.00-2,000.00 depending on your pet's size and how many implants are required. Our techniques do not require cutting of the bone, bone plates, or saws.
We use implants originally designed and licensed for use in human orthopedic ligament replacement surgery. Dr. Townsley has exceptional experience in orthopedics and has performed over 300 of these surgeries! Utilizing Arthrex fiberwire and tightrope ligament replacement surgery means :
